Warehouse Mezzanines in Homestead, FL
We plan and install warehouse mezzanines in Homestead for agricultural packers, cold storage operators and distributors in south Miami-Dade along the Turnpike. A packaging mezzanine holds cartons, liners, labels and trays right above the packing line, so the floor stays open for pallets moving in and out of the cooler.
Each warehouse mezzanine is laid out around your line, dock and cold room.
Packaging Mezzanines for Ag Packing Houses
Packing operations burn through supplies. Flat cartons and trays take up a surprising amount of floor, and every pallet of them parked near the line is a pallet of produce that has nowhere to go.
Moving those supplies up one level keeps them steps from the packers. A chute, lift or pallet gate brings them down as the shift needs them.
Most packers start with a free-standing mezzanine that stands on its own columns and is anchored to the floor.
Planning Around Coolers and Harvest Peaks
Cold storage rooms and the open packing floor beside them behave very differently. We keep the deck on the warm side and route stairs away from cooler doors and forklift turns.
Peak season brings long shifts and heavy truck traffic down the Turnpike, so install phases are set for slower months whenever possible.
